Socially Savvy is introducing an exciting new program for the 2011-2012 calendar school year. The program is called iL.E.A.D. - Leadership, Etiquette and Development, and is designed specifically for 5th Grade Students.
The goal of the program is to inspire self confidence, develop leadership skills and raise students’ civil awareness. Students will learn practical social skills for their daily lives and their future endeavors.
The curriculum will feature a relevant topic each evening and use fun activities, games and include surprises to correlate to the curriculum. In addition, parents will receive a follow up email detailing the events of each evening to support parallel instruction at home.
Examples of topics of instruction:
Presenting The Best You – How to confidently introduce yourself and others
Make a Lasting Positive Impression-Eye Contact, Body Language, Dress Codes
Building Meaningful Relationships- Develop useful Conversation skills
Step Up- Accepting Responsibility at school, home, and in your community
Life’s a Party- Learn to be a gracious Host or Guest at casual settings or formal affairs
The class will meet on five (5) Friday evenings from 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the Moorestown Community House from September thru March.
Space is limited to a maximum of 50 students, to ensure that students reap the full benefits of this encompassing program. The cost is $125/student.
